You need this Yoga Mat to lay your child with disabilities on

I love this Harbinger Yoga Mat. We keep it in the van at all times to lay Ellie on when we need it.  It is about an inch (or more) thick and is covered with a vinyl type fabric.  I will usually toss a blanket or sheet over it because I think it is uncomfortable to lay on plastic type materials.

We use it to:
1.  Change her brief (to protect her from germs such as laying her on public bathroom floor or even at Grandmas house to protect Grandma's bed or carpet from accidents)
2.  Lay her down anytime we are away from home for an extended period of time.  This gives her a break from her wheelchair to prevent bedsores.  We will often put the pad on a picnic table or if that is not available, then the ground.  We use it while traveling, at church, at Grandma's, etc...

Reasons I like it:
1.  You can sanitize it
2.  It protects Ellie from Germs
3.  Soft, an inch thick
4.  Handles (I use a caribiner through the 2 handles to clip it on the back of her wheelchair if walking aways). It is bulky...but doable.
4.  Big enough, but not too big. Amazon dimensions list it at 60" X 24" X 2 " (Those would be unfolded dimensions)
5.  Small enough to be stored in the van at all times
6.  If she drools or has an accident, it is easy to wipe up without making a scene
7.  Durable.  We got it at a thrift store (used) about 10 years ago.  The corners are just now starting to wear out.  We use it probably twice a month on average.

Here is an Amazon link.  At the time I am writing this post (Jan 2017) the cost is $57.  https://www.amazon.com/Harbinger-Part-Tri-Fold-Exercise-2-Inch/dp/B00074H89A/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1484677788&sr=8-6&keywords=harbinger+yoga+mat
